If you’re like me, you love home products that make your home a little more homey and serene. The right products make all the difference.
I’ve compiled a list of my favourite home products at the moment. These home products range from cleaning products, kitchen cookware and furniture. I did not get paid, sponsored and do not make commission on any of these products, so you know these recommendations are genuine.
My list of favourite home products
1. Le Creuset Enameled Cast Iron French Oven
I love baking and cooking. I even share some of my recipes on my blog. The problem is, I live in a condo in downtown Toronto, meaning I don’t have a very large kitchen. So, I am very intentional with the kitchen gadgets, home products and equipment I purchase.
I’m sure most of you have heard of the brand Le Creuset. It is a very prestigious, well-known, high-end French brand. I decided to invest in this French oven (aka Dutch oven) to see what the hype was all about.
Now, I had my reservations about cast iron cookware. You see, in my family home growing up we had nothing but cast iron cookware and I hated it. Mostly because cast iron is sooo heavy and annoying to clean. BUT, Le Creuset is enameled cast iron, so I thought I’d given cast iron another go. And I’m glad I did! This French oven is so versatile and it is the PERFECT size for cooking for 1-2 people. It’s super easy to clean and not too heavy. I basically use it for everything now. It is a pricey piece, but William Sonoma was having a sale so I snagged it at the right time.
2. Shark Vertex DuoClean PowerFins Cordless Stick Vacuum
My next home product I love is one that I was on the hunt for for a while. Sometimes the trouble in finding a good home product is that there are so many options on the market and you don’t know which to choose. I finally came to a decision and purchased this Shark Vacuum. I decided on this model because for a few different reasons being; the vacuum can be stored very compactly, the vacuum comes with attachments that make the vacuum very versatile and the reviews were good (well, for the most part…you can ALWAYS find a bad review). But anyway, I purchased this vacuum and have been very pleased with it in the few months I’ve been using it. I was concerned about the battery life of this home product, as when looking into different cordless vacuums, battery life seemed to be an issue with some models.
3. Dr. Bonner’s Lavender Soap
This home product is one that is also very well know. But if you don’t know, this is a soap that can basically be used for anything (body, home, your dog…anything). It is very concentrated so a little goes a LONG way. I use it for my dishes and honestly it’s amazing. I love the smell, simple ingredients and overall value for this product.
4. Kneeling Chair
This home product is a pricey one. Yeup, it’s an $800 chair. An $800 chair that has no back. Now, I work in the interior design world, and in the interior design world I’ve seen $10,000.00 chairs so I guess $800.00 isn’t that outrageous. Read The Dirty Truth About High-End Furniture Stores.
This chair is expensive. But, for good reason. Sometimes you gotta invest in good quality home products. This is an ergonomic chair that is typically used as an office task chair, but could be used for other purposes such as dining. It looks as if it would be uncomfortable but actually, it is very comfortable as it relieves a lot of back pain. I like this chair because it forces me to have good posture. I work on the computer all day and I find that my shoulders and back are always aching after a long week. With switching over to this chair I’ve definitely noticed a difference with my shoulder pain.
5. Weighted blanket
This home product was a game changer for me. If you have trouble sleeping, this might be worth the investment. Sleeping with a weighted blanket feels like a nice snug hug all night long. I have a 15 pound blanket and I am thinking of getting a heavier one. The only downside is, is that is is tricky to wash. So, I would recommend getting a duvet cover for your weighted blanket.
6. Cuisinart – Smart Stick Variable Speed Immersion Blender
This home product makes it on my list because its such a versatile product. It’s great for those of you like me who function out of a tiny condo kitchen. Truthfully, I didn’t want to invest in a blender, immersion blender, stand mixer and food processor. Products that only serve one purpose just don’t make sense when you’re limited on storage space. So when I found this product that was compact and could replace the need for 4 separate appliances I was sold. The price point is great too, so it definitely had to make my list of my favourite home products.
There you have it folks, some home products I am loving and thought I’d share!
